How are these things made?

1/2'' multi-layer birch veneer plywood. .125'' x .25'' dado for inset of side and end panels.

4/4'' Maple, planed to size. .25'' x .25'' dado for inset of side and end panels.

1/4'' multi-layer birch veneer plywood. Inset into tops, bases and verticals for a strong, interlocking design.

Prior to assembly, all surfaces stained with Verathane water-based stain and Polyurethane topcoat.

Cured, 24-48 hrs.

1-1/2'' #8 SPAX Screws + Titebond III glue for all slotted edges. Assemble, confirm squareness, then clamped together for another 24-48 hrs.

Strong enough for the Greek Titan Cronus. Because cats, like Cronus, can sometimes be a tempestuous force of chaos and disorder. Oh, go read a book.

All construction and topcoat materials are safe for any type of cat. Even human ones.
